About Gumz Seed ServiceIt all began in the early 1900's, when Great Grandfather Gumz emigrated from Germany and settled into a small Midwestern farming community in Indiana. There, he established the first Gumz family farm. His hard work, commitment to quality, and dedication to a land ethic are traditions that have been passed down to three generations of Gumz farmers...and counting.
Today, Gumz Farms is owned and operated by brothers Richard and Roderick Gumz and remains a family operation. At the heart of it all are the core values passed down by four generations of Gumz family farmers. So, when the opportunity arose in summer 2012 to acquire the seed agency, we felt it was a great fit and a strategic move we needed to make to grow Gumz Farms and help local farmers reach their full potential. |

1990sBrothers Richard and Roderick formed Gumz Muck Farms, LLC, and purchased the Gumz family's Wisconsin operations.

2012Gumz Farms acquired the Pioneer Seed agency, Gumz Seed Service, LLC.

NowWe have expanded the agency by building a seed shed and installing a seed treater as well as hiring a sales agronomist and a summer crop/plant pathologist intern.
