"I have two goals. First, to help farmers reach their yield goals. Second, to help farmers reach their goals in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner. I can do this by relying on my education and experience in commodity row crop farming. Born and raised on a corn and soybean farm in the Western Iowa town of Carroll, my parents still farm and I try to physically help out when I can, but most of the time I help provide agronomic consultation when ever my father calls me up. I completed my studies at Iowa State University where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy and a Masters Degree in Soil Science. I then worked for Pioneer as a Research Associate conducting soybean research in Dallas Center, Iowa. Since then, I have lived in Wisconsin for the past 5 years working as a sales support agronomist and a district sales manager for another seed company until I recently became a part of Gumz Seed Service. I am excited to work with Gumz while applying my skills and knowledge in selling and supporting Pioneer brand seed products. With a strong product portfolio and a network of cropping experts, we can meet the needs of your operation from selecting the right seed to finding the information you need specific to your farming operation.

“Hey there! I started here at Gumz Seed Service and Gumz Farms December of 2012 and became full time in March of 2013. I started out helping with marketing and social media strategies, brand recognition, administrative duties, and seed sales assistance, and have grown to work with the coordination of our food safety plans. I grew up on a 200 cow Angus and Limousin beef farm and still actively help my dad with that, majored in business and marketing at Concordia University Wisconsin, completed a marketing internship at ANIMART, Inc., and look forward to broadening my agricultural knowledge in the vegetable industry as well as broadening my field crop knowledge while helping out Marc on the seed side of Gumz Farms. Aside from the farm, I love CrosFfit and doing anything outdoors. In the few fast years I’ve been with Gumz Farms, it has been very exciting seeing all of the growth around here, which will help us provide as much assistance and flexibility to our Pioneer Seed customers (YOU!) as possible.”
